July 28-29 Catchup: Pt. 2 Kaia's Birthday Date

Ivo n Burl caught up with Kaia on Sunday. 29 July. We met at Caves book store and played. Then we got lunch while a neat procession/ceremony was going on at the temple a block away. Then we went to the e-i-o for ice cream and more play. Whew - BIG day!

July 28-29 Catch-Up: Pt. 1 Josie's Birthday Party

Ivo and Burl had such a fun time last weekend! On Saturday we went to Josie's 3rd birthday in Chang Hua. Her party was at Bambino - which is a great place to hold a party - lots of kid-friendly space. Karen and Hogie did such a nice job with the Dora-decor!

There was a Dora pinata - which Ivo still talks about - candy fell out of it - you know dat? The kids played pin the tale on the donkey - which either just isn't as difficult as it was in my day - or else there MAY have been a few liberties taken - that donkey had a dozen exactly located tales! Also there was a kill-or-be-killed game involving tethering mini balloons to your ankles and trying to pop everyone else's while keeping yours intact. Ivo watched all the games but declined to play.

Ivo really likes Olivia. The closest he can get to saying her name is something like, "Olivleelelah" - not half bad! Ivo really liked Mike - who was able to clear up a few hings at the museum that we've never known what they were!

Ivo n Burl lunch at Papa's

Yesterday Ivo, Burl and I met Rayne and her girls plus Rayn'e friend from home via Japan at the science museum. It was a blast.

We then walked down to Papa's to eat - just across the street from where Isabel was having/with her new baby boy, Albert! Yay!

Snaps from Papa's (#4, Alley 52 Meitsuin Rd - 04-2326-5852) and a really funny editorialized help-wanted flier from the bulletin board. I don't know if that flier's only funny if you've lived/taught-dealt with school bosses- in Taiwan, or if it's universally funny, OR if I'm demented!

Burl at science museum 8/1

These are Burl and Ivo at science museum on Wednesday. We had forgotten it's free on Wednesday but it wasn't too crazy.

Ivo ate his first slurpee - mango.

We are headed to sci museum today to meet Rayne and her girls.

We have lots to catch up on from last weekend's party... so busy and the wireless isn't working.

Burl on 28 July 07 - 5 months old!

Baby Burl Raises his Glass to a New Comrade
