P.S. Both Katie Couric and CBS deny having anything to do with the skinnification - claiming/blaming some "overzealous" flunky at the network, who, a spokesman says, did it him/herself. It seems believable to me. I mean, if you contract a gal to read the news for $15 million/year, you're gonna be pretty relaxed about pr and image-control.
