Pics of Ivo and Burl during and after "quiet time" today. Quiet time was kinda NOT.
It's not quite 6pm and Ryan and I are ready for bed. Burl too. Ivo, not so much.
We had lentils, fish, eggs, bread and cheesecake today. Day off... 'member... we work through the x-ian holidays... today is the only day off we've had since 10/10 day.
Just sitting here is making me tired!
Ivo continues to be awesome. He just finished arranging all of his plastic animals and he told me, "Look, you looking? See all da animals on da tatami. I no dump dem out, mama. Dat so noisy." (Burl's sleeping.) At dinner Ivo said, "I feel uncomf-able. I no wanna eat soup. I wanna wead dis book 'bout dis doggie."
Burl may have said ball yesterday. He was holding - and had been playing with - the big self-propelled ball he got for xmas, when he looked at it and then looked at me and said, "ba." I said "Ball, yes you're right. Good talking!" But, who knows, really. Although at 10+ months, Ivo was saying what we thought was "ball" and "mama" and a version of yes. One thing Burl does for sure is laugh when he hears us laughing. He laughs genuinely and in an exaggerated manner. Hilarious (one of Ivo's favorite words)! If Burl's bored, he often forces himself to laugh which makes everyone else laugh together with him. Genius. Also, Burl's teacher said he took 4 steps by himself on Monday which would be his 2nd round of first independent steps. Wow! Ivo also walked at around 10 months.
I've been re-gathering peoples' phone numbers. If I should have yr number, please call or text me at my old number - it works (new sim card) - it just doesn't have any of YOUR info.
Ivo is on my lap. Hot chocolate is being organized. Ivo's very excited. He is squirming and jumping and gonna break my jaw. I put him down on the floor. Ivo glared at me and said, "MOM! You CAN'T put me on the taTAmi, you sick bastad!!!"
