Ivo at St Jason Taichung City

Ivo, Burl and I went to St. Jason to visit on Wednesday, 2 May. Karin has taken over my former class - but maybe not for long. Ivo appears to be bucking for the job!

I'm gonna try to clarify what's not obvious in the video... When Ivo turns around and says "eart," He is pointing at a flat political map of the world. He recognizes globes, satellite pics and all maps as "earth." "Wheeeall" is whale.

The kids were super nice to Ivo. Ivo wasn't shy or scared and I don't know how he decided to teach the class. Burl and I stopped into each class and said hi. Burl had a poop that reached his neck front and back - so we had to go change. While we were gone, Ivo started teaching. Luckily, the unit dealt with ocean life, something Ivo knows a thing or two about.

On a sort of odd note, a kid in Bob's class was disappointed in Baby Burl. She didn't come right out and call him ugly... Maybe she'll grow up to represent Taiwan in diplomatic circles... She focused her comments on how much cuter Ivo is than Burl. It was about then that Burl opened the poop floodgates. Maybe Burl'll grow up to confront dissemblers of all kinds! He knows (as do most people) that he's the cutest baby in Taiwan. Jeez!
