It takes an hour door-to-door with my slow driving and convenience store stops to get from our house in the middle of Taichung to Emily's parents' house. It's a beautiful drive on the Chung To hiway into the village of Chung Xing - beautiful little town. Karin says you can't afford to live there b/c the townspeople are protective of their village. I don't know if she meant they guard against foreigners or all non home-townies...
