Better Day

Today was a much easier day. Ivo/Dash was happier.

Ryan got Ivo up at 7ish and let Burl and me sleep. Ivo and Grammie ate brekkie and played together til Heather and Dylan came over. Nice and fun.

We ate lunch and I don't know where the time went but at 1 (I'd meant to try 12) Ivo and I went upstairs to rest/nap. After 30 minutes, he was up and checking out the clothes in his dresser. I told Ivo if he didn't want to bao bao that I was gonna go downstairs and that he had to rest/nap. So I left - no angriness or punitive aspect - he called for me once and I yelled up that he had to nap (the gate was in the bedroom doorway). When I went to check on him 25 minutes later - he was asleep.

Ryan's upstairs with him now - a little down time and then if he can't fall asleep with a parent, he can fall asleep by himself.

He still sleeps with us and will for the foreseeable future. This has something to do with the limitations of our house, mosquitoes, a/c, we like it... he'll only be small for a short time...

I woke Ivo up at 2:15. Karin came to watch him while Gail, Burl and I went to a dr's appt. All's good.

Burl is getting bigger and bigger. I think his mouth is bigger! He's beautiful! We think he looks a lot like Ivo did when Ivo was a baby baby... Here's a pic of Ivo at 17 days old (100105)... and Burl at 10 days old (090307). Ivo's on the left.
